And when I go to what halls shall I come?
And what shall I remember?

Maybe Andreth should have stayed in the country a while longer. Maybe she shouldn't have gone for that walk, and stayed in with her books as usual. Or maybe, just maybe, she shouldn't have eaten the peach.
But she did, and therein lies the problem, because it seems that she is now actually a he.
On the other hand, her mind's no different, and that's what really matters, in the end.

Andreth has been far afield these past few weeks, getting her bearings on life, and prefering outdoor solitude to the busy and crowded Mansion. So there are summer flowers in her room, and interesting leaves pressed into her books. One evening, one of these is open on her lap (with a wayward edge of maple-leaf peeking out from between the pages); she's scribbling her thoughts in it, oblivious to the evening around her.
